Basil & Stone
Basil & Stone is an imagined small-batch pesto brand from Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur: fresh basil, garlic, pine nuts, hard cheese and olive oil, crushed by hand in a granite mortar and jarred the same afternoon. The brand isn't real, but the landing page is built to the same standard as a client site.
The page tells the story of "pounded, not blended" through custom SVG illustrations, a drag-to-compare slider showing stone-crushed against blender pesto, animated recipe plates, a flavour lineup and a Pesto Club subscription section with a monthly and yearly pricing toggle.
Everything is hand-coded in a single HTML file with no frameworks, and the motion is driven by scrolling. It loads fast, works on phones and ships with strict security headers.
It's a showcase of what a food or small-product brand in Nepal could launch with, from the first scroll to the order button.
