Concept design · Florist site with a live bouquet builder, handwritten cards and delivery riders
Gajra Flowers
Gajra (गजरा) is the garland you tie in someone's hair. This imagined studio in Jhamsikhel ties bouquets by hand the day they leave. The design is editorial and warm: cream paper, ink, rose red and marigold, a tall italic serif, numbered sections and a card written in a florist's hand.
Every bouquet on the site is drawn in SVG from its recipe of stems: roses with spiral centres, lilies, gerberas, tulips, carnations, sayapatri marigolds, baby's breath and eucalyptus, arranged in a dome with greenery, paper and a ribbon bow. In the builder, add a stem and it appears; change the paper to handmade lokta and it wraps again. The ready bouquets, the order confirmation and the tracking page all use the same drawing.
Ordering picks a delivery day and window. The server checks every stem (5 to 40), recalculates the price from flowers, paper and area, refuses same-day windows that leave less than two hours to make the bouquet, and gives each order one of three riders in its window, so a full window shows 'Riders full'. Orders are tracked from Received to Being made, Out for delivery and Delivered.
