Concept design · Tailoring website with an order builder and tracking
Kainchi Tailoring
Kainchi means scissors. This imagined tailoring house in Ason has been cutting daura suruwal, suits, kurtas and blouses since 1979. Its website is dressed like the shop: deep indigo and linen, a fashion-house serif, stitched borders, tape-measure dividers and a band of Palpali dhaka pattern drawn entirely in CSS.
An order builder walks through garment, fabric, details and measurements, with the price updating live from a shared catalogue, so the server stores exactly the same price. Customers either book a fitting, where the server picks a free tailor and refuses a clash, or send their own measurements. Those are checked against sensible limits, field by field.
Every order gets a code. The customer follows it through seven stages, from Received to Cutting, Stitching, Trial and Ready, while the shop moves it along in the admin. A fabric library shows CSS-drawn swatches with prices per metre, and a measuring guide lights up the right line on a body diagram as you type.
