Pardaa Cinema

Pardaa (परदा) means curtain. This imagined three-screen cinema in Jhamsikhel puts Nepali films first, and its website feels like walking into the hall: red velvet, a marquee with blinking bulbs, and a dark auditorium. Every film, director and actor is fictional, and every poster is drawn in CSS, so there is no borrowed artwork.

Showtimes cover the next seven days, with live seats-left counts on every show. The seat map draws each hall exactly, with aisles, price tiers, recliners and wheelchair spaces. Each seat is its own row in the database, so the same seat can never be sold twice, even when two people press confirm at the same moment.

Visitors add popcorn, momo or chiya, get an e-ticket with a drawn code instantly, and can find it again later with their code and phone digits. The cinema scans tickets from its admin, and the customer's ticket then shows as used.
