Phurti Strength
Phurti (फुर्ती, “energy, quickness”) is an imagined coached strength gym in Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur. The club isn’t real, but the website is built the way a real gym would want: to fill capped classes and turn a curious visitor into a free-trial booking.
It runs on Kathmandu time wherever you open it. A live crowd meter shows how busy the floor is right now and when it gets quieter, the home page lists today’s classes with spots left, and the “open now” badge updates itself. The timetable filters 32 weekly classes by type, coach and level, and keeps your bookings in a “My week” list.
For lifters there are real tools: a one-rep-max calculator with training percentages, a plate loader that draws exactly which coloured plates go on the bar, and a calories and protein planner that speaks in eggs and dal. Everything is hand-coded with no frameworks, in a black-iron and chalk look that’s nothing like my other concepts.
